Best Farmers Markets in Rochester

It’s National Farmers Market Week and it’s time to get out there and support your local farmers! Plus, there’s nothing better than sinking your teeth into the freshest meats, fruits, veggies and baked goods the area has to offer. See below for some of the best farmers markets in Rochester and the surrounding neighborhoods:

Rochester Public Market

They’re open Tuesdays & Thursdays 6am-1pm and Saturdays from 5am-3pm. Head on over to 280 N. Union Street in Rochester this week! Check their calendar for special events and programs.

Brighton Farmers Market

Most of the vendors at this market live and farm no more than 40 miles from Brighton. Why is that important? Well, it means you’re getting the freshest ingredients that are grown in your very own neighborhood! The market is located at 1150 Winton Road in Rochester and is open on Sundays from 9am-1pm through October 25th.

Irondequoit Farmers Market

A community of neighbors gathers here every Thursday from 4pm-8pm to share their values of healthy eating, support for local growers and to enjoy each other’s company and food. Be sure to check this market out before they close down for the season in at the end of October.

Webster Joe Obbie Farmers Market

What sets this market apart from the others? Some might say the fresh fruits, some might say the fresh veggies, but we say it’s the KIDZ CORNER. Don’t forget to bring the kids down to check out the weekly events hosted by the Girl Scout Troops of Webster. They’re open on Saturdays from 8am-1pm and Wednesdays 2pm-6pm.
